Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released an open competitive Examination for recruitment of the following Junior Engineers Group- B” posts from the eligible citizen of India. Details of the recruitment are as follows:

Age Limit as on 1st August, 2019:
27 years up to 32 years
Age-relaxation permissible beyond the upper age limit is SC/ ST- 5 years, OBC- 3 years, PwD-10 years

Essential Educational Qualifications:
1. Junior Engineer (Civil: Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institution
2. Junior Engineer (Mechanical): Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institution
3. Junior Engineer (Civil): Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
4. Junior Engineer (Electrical): Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
5. Junior Engineer (Civil): Three years Diploma or equivalent in Civil Engineering from an institution recognized by the Central Government or State Government.
6. Junior Engineer (Civil), MES: Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University Or
(a) Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute or University or Board; and
(b) Two years experience in Planning, Execution and Maintenance of Civil Engineering works.
7. Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical): Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University;
Or
(a) Three years diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Institute or University or Board; and
(b) Two years experience in Planning, Execution and Maintenance of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering works.
8. Junior Engineer (Quantity Surveying & Contracts): Three years Diploma in Civil engineering from a recognized Institute/ University/ Board or equivalent; or
(i) Passed Intermediate examination in Buildings and Quantity Surveying Sub-Division-II of the Institute of Surveyors (India).
9. Junior Engineer (Civil): Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute or Board.
10. Junior Engineer (Electrical): Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute or Board.

Pay Scale:
Level- 6 (Rs 35400-112400/-) of pay matrix of 7th Central Pay Commission.

Scheme of Examination:
The Examination will consist of two Papers i.e. Paper-I (Computer Based Examination) and Paper-II (Descriptive Type). Details of these Papers are as follows:
1. Paper-I : (Objective Type)
Computer Base Examination: 
Subject:
(i) General Intelligence and Reasoning- 50 Q, 50 M
(ii) General Awareness- 50 Q, 50 M
(iii) Part-A General Engineering (Civil & Structural) or
Part-B General Engineering (Electrical) or
Part-C General Engineering (Mechanical)- 100 Q, 100 M (A,B,C)
2. Paper-II (Descriptive Type):
Written Examination:
Subject:
Part-A General Engineering (Civil & Structural) or
Part- B General Engineering (Electrical) or
Part-C General Engineering (Mechanical):
Maximum 300 marks (A,B,C)

Duration & Timings: 2 Hours

Application Fee:
Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred only)
Women candidates, SC/ST, PwD and Ex-servicemen are exempted from payment of fee

Mode of payment:
Fee can be paid through BHIM UPI, SBI Challan/ Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit card.
