Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad is organizing a Summer Training School on Planetary Sciences & Exploration on 1 May 2019 – 30 June 2019
About Training :
ISRO launched the highly successful Chandrayaan-1 mission to Moon in 2008 and Mars Orbitor Mission to Mars in 2013. ISRO is going to launch Chandrayan-2 this year and is planning for missions to Venus and Mars in coming years. Scientists at the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL) are developing payloads (scientific experiments) for flying on board these missions for studying atmospheric, surface, and interplanetary processes. These planetary missions will provide copious data on important scientific questions in planetary sciences. For effective utilization and modeling of this data, a Planetary Data and Modeling Centre (PDMC) is being established at Thaltej campus of PRL.
