Manipur University Extended Last Date for Admission to Various PG & UG Courses 2018-19
Manipur University has extended the last date for submission of application form the admission to the following courses for the Academic Session 2018-19.

Earlier the last date for submission of application was 01/10/2018 and its now extended till 8th Oct 2018.
Details of the Admission:
1. For MA /MSc/ MCom/ MCA/ MLISc:
B.A./B.Sc./ B.Corn. (Three-Year Degree Course) Examination or equivalent thereto under the 10+2+3 system and who studied the relevant subject for three years at the Degree level. The minimum (cut-off) marks except for ST/SC/PWD students for admission into the various courses are specified below.
A. SCHOOL OF HUMANITIES AND SCHOOL OF SOCIAL SCIENCES
45% marks in Honours/Major in the subject concerned in the Bachelors Degree Examination except in the case of Manipuri and Hindi subjects wherein it will be 40% marks in Manipuri/ Hindi Hons/ Elective/ MIL) and 40% marks in the aggregate.
45% marks both in aggregate and in the subject concerned in the Bachelors Degree Examination for candidates who do not have Honours/Major.
a. An Honours graduate may apply for admission into M A /M Sc course in a subject which he/she offered as a subsidiary subject at the Degree examination_ He/she however shall be treated as a candidate having no Honours/Major;
b. For admission into M A Linguistics:
Graduates in any discipline under the 10+2+3 system securing a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate and a graduate in a professional course securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply.
c. For admission into M A Hindi:
A student who has passed B A/BSc/BCom (Three Year Degree Course) and having Ratna or its equivalent Degree in Hindi may also apply.
d. For admission into M A Philosophy:
Candidates who have passed B A/B Sc/B Corn Examination of the Manipur University or its equivalent examination from a recognized university with any subject combination are also eligible to apply provided they secure 45% marks in aggregate.
e. For admission into Master of Library & Information Science (Two Year Course); Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree from Manipur University (Three-Year Degree Course) or a similar Degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply.
f. For admission into M A Adult Continuing Education and Extension:
Candidates with Bachelor's Degree (Three Year Degree Course) from Manipur University or any other recognized university in any discipline with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply.
g. For admission into the M A in Mass Communication:
Candidates with Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from the Manipur University or any other recognized institution with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible to apply.
h. For admission into M A in Dance (Manipuri)
Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Dance (Manipuri) of the Manipur University or any other recognized university,
candidates with a Bachelor's Degree of any recognized university with Diploma in Dance from an institution/academy fully funded by the State/Central Government are eligible to apply.
i. The Manipur Institute of Management Studies conducts two-year MBA Course.
For admission into the MBA course separate notification and prospectus shall be issued by the Institute.
B. SCHOOL OF LIFE SCIENCES/ SCHOOL OF HUMAN & ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES/ SCHOOL OF MATHEMATICAL AND PHYSICAL SCIENCES
45% marks in the Honours/Major in the subject concerned in the Degree Examination or
50% marks in the aggregate and 50% marks in the subject concerned for candidates who do not have Honours/Major.
a. An Honours graduate may apply for admission into MA/NISI course in a subject which he/ she offered as a subsidiary subject at the Degree examination He/She however shall be treated as a candidate having no 1'0111411.s/ Major;
b. A student who has passed B Sc (Three-Year Degree Course) Examination or equivalent thereto with Botany or Zoology is eligible to apply for admission into M Sc Life Sciences;
c. A student who has passed B Sc (Three-Year Degree Course) Examination or equivalent
thereto with Geology/ Earth Sciences is eligible to apply for admission into M Sc Earth Sciences;
d. For admission into MSc Chemistry, the candidate (general) must have offered Physics or Mathematics as one of the Elective subjects in the B Sc Examination
e. For admission to MSc Physics, the candidate (general) must have offered Mathematics as one of the Elective subjects in the BSc Ex urinationor 13111rrech course.
f. For admission in MSC Forestry the candidate must have Fussed B Sc in Forestry or BSc with honours in any subject. For admission in M.Sc. Environmental Science, the candidate must have passed B.Sc. in Environmental Science or B.Sc. with honours in any subject.
g. For admission into MSc Biochemistry, the candidate must have passed BSc (Honours/ Major) or equivalent examination in Biochemistry/ Chemistry
B Sc (General) or equivalent examination with Chemistry and any two of the subjects Biochemistry/ Botany/ Zoology/ Microbiology/ Genetics - with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
B Sc (Honours/lvlajor) or equivalent examination in Biotechnology/Biomedical Sciences/Botany/Zoology/Microbiology/Chemistry.
h. Candidates who have passed Mathematics as Honours/Elective/Subsidiary subject at the Degree level with a minimum 50% marks in the aggregate and 50% mark in mathematics are eligible to apply For admission into MA/MSc Statistics.
i. Eligibilty for admission to MPES:
Any one of the following examination passed with a least 50% marks for Gen/OBC and 45% for ST/SC category -
i. BPEd (4yr. Intergrated)/BPEd (1yr. or 2yr.)/BPE (3yr.)/B.Sc. (Physical Education)/BPES (3yr.)
ii. Bonus for excellence in games/sports and academics are reserved by the departmental Admission Committee.
i. For Admission to MSc Biotechnology:
The candidate must have passed with 45%
Honours/ Major in BSc Biotechnology.
Bachelor degree with a minimum of 55% in aggregate in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/ Botany/Zoology/Microbiology/Chemistry with Biology subject as one of the subsidiary subjects.
MASTER OF COMPUTER APPLICATION
The University shall admit students to a Six-Semester Post-graduate programme of studies leading W the Master's degree in Computer Application. Eligibility criteria are as follows:
50% marks in aggregate in BA/BSc/BCom (Three Year Degree Courses)/BE/BTech. Such a candidate should have offered and passed Mathematics in the 10+2 examination
50% marks in the aggregate in Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA)
For DIT & PGDCA:
10+2 from recognized Board/ Council/ Universities in any discipline and at least 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates) marks in aggregate.
For Admission to BEd:
Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelors Degree and or in the Master Degree in Social Sciences/ Science, Humanities, Bachelors degree in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme.
For Admission to BA DANCE and BA MUSIC (HONS):
Passed the 10+2 Examination along with the following courses as specified below:
a. The candidates applying for BA Dance must have the basic knowledge of Dance/ Sankirtana/ Martial Arts (Thang Ta) with a minimum of three years Foundation/ Certificate Course from any recognized school, college, university or Institution funded/ sponsored by the State/ Central Government.
b. The candidates applying for BA Music (Hons) must have the basic knowledge of musics with a minimum of three years certificate/ Diploma Course in Music from any recognized school, college, university or Institution funded/ sponsored by the State/ Central Government.
