Manipur Pre-Matric, Post-Matric and MCM Scholarship Schemes for the year 2019-20: Apply Online, Eligibility,

The Directorate of Minority Affairs, Government of Manipur has invited online application from eligible students belonging to minority for scholarship under Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India under Pre-Matric, Post-Matric and Merit-cum-Means based Scholarship schemes for the year 2019-20:

Eligibility:
1. For Pre Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities:
Scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and the annual income of whose parents/guardians from all sources does not exceed Rs. 2.00 lakh.

2. Post Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities:
Scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 50% marks in the previous final examination and annual income of their parents/guardian from all sources does not exceed Rs. 1.00 lakh.

3. Merit Cum Means Scholarship For Professional and Technical Courses CS:
Scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and the annual income of whose parents/ guardians from all sources does not exceed Rs. 2.50 lakh.

SELECTION PROCEDURE
(i) Fresh (Application) – The number of scholarship has been fixed State/UT-wise on the basis of Community-wise minority population of the States/ UTs as per Census 2001 (2017-18) & 2011 (2018-20). Within the State-wise allocations, the applications from Listed Institutions will be exhausted first in merit list. In case number of such students is more than the State/ Community-wise quota, normal merit list criteria shall be followed. Other verified applicant/student will be selected in the merit list, thereafter, on merit basis i.e. Percentage/ marks of last academic course/board (higher secondary / graduation) exam. In case of similar marks, income will be taken as deciding factor.
(ii) Renewal (Application)– There is no merit list generation for renewal cases. Renewal applicant will get the scholarship if one has obtained 50% in his/her previous year’s examinations (or in each semester/ trimester of previous year’s) their application is approved by State Governments/ UTs.

How to Apply:
Need to apply online through official website. Alternatively, application may also be submitted through NSP App by downloading the same from Google Play Store.

Note:
1. No request for Offline applications to be entertained.
2. Fresh student(s) have to register at NSP Portal to get the Login Credentials and fill-up the entry form by entering complete details to get the Registration ID. All Renewal applicants/students (who have got scholarship during 2018-19) may apply by giving their existing Application lD.
3. Aadhaar number/ Aadhaar Enrollment ID slip/ copy of request made for Aadhaar enrollment/ Bank passbook with photograph/ Ration Card/ PAN/ Passport/ Students ID/ Driving License are required as identification documents.
4. Print out of the online application along with seft attested photocopies of supporting documents is to be submitted to the concerned Institutes. lf the documents are not uploaded on NSP while registering online application, then the set of documents shall be submitted to the Directorate of
Minority Affairs, Manipur for Post-Matric and MCM Minority Scholarship Schemes and for Pre Matric Minority Scholarship Scheme, the same shall be submitted to concern District ZEO for causing timely online verification of the applications.

List of Documents: ( if the eligible claim of scholarship is more than Rs. 50,000/- per
student i.e. only under Merit cum Means based scholarship scheme.) (For scholarship claim up to Rs. 50,000/- no uploading of document is required for Pre-Matric and Post-Matric scholarship schemes).
The list of documents to be uploaded for both Fresh & Renewal Scholarships under Merit cum Means based scholarship scheme only (not for Pre-Matric and Post Matric), are as under:
i. Student Photo. (Mandatory)
ii. Institution Verification Form. A copy of form is annexed. (Mandatory)
iii. Income Certificate: Income Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the State/UT Government is required (Mandatory).
iv. Religion Certificate: Self Declaration/Certification or Self Attested Community Certificate – (Mandatory).
v. Marksheet:
(a) In case of Fresh: Self-Attested Certificate of ‘Previous Qualifying Exam /Board Marksheet’ as filled in the Form. (Mandatory).
(b) In case of Renewal: Self-Attested Certificate of Previous Year /Last exam passed Marksheet (for same/ongoing course) as filled in the Form. (Mandatory).
vi. Fee Receipt of ‘Current Course Year’. (Mandatory)
vii. Proof of Bank Account in the name of Student. (Mandatory).
viii. Residential/Domicile Certificate (Mandatory).
