Manipur Directorate of Medical & Health Services selection and nomination as State Govt. nominees for the academic session, 2021-22

The Directorate of Medical & Health Services, Government of Manipur has invited application from eligible candidates from the intending and eligible candidates for selection and nomination to the following courses as State Govt. nominees for the academic session, 2021-22 (Manipur Medical & Health Services Notification for Admission). Details are as follows:

Note:
Students shall be admitted once in a year. Seats for male candidates for the course of B. Sc. Nursing are available at College of Nursing, RIMS and RIPANS, Aizawl only.

Eligibility criteria:
a). Student should be medically fit (physical fitness certificate should be enclosed).
b). Candidates should be domicile of Manipur by birth or either of the parents should have been residing in Manipur continuously for 20 years or is in the service of the Govt. of Manipur or an Institution/ Organisation which is a body substantially owned or controlled by the Govt. of Manipur.
c). Educational Qualification and age for various courses:

Age Limit:
1. For B.Sc. Nursing: Age shall be 17-35 years on 31.12.2021.

2. i) Bachelor of Sc. in Radio Imaging Technology (B.Sc. RIT)
ii) Bachelor of Sc. in Optometry & Ophthalmic Techniques(B.Sc.OOT):
Age shall be 17-24 years for General & 17-27 years for ST /SC /OBC candidates on 31.12.2021.

3. For Bachelor of Sc. In Lab. Technology (B.Sc. MLT):
Age shall be 17-24 years for General & 17-27 years for ST /SC/ OBC candidates on 31.12.2021.

4. For Bachelor of Pharmacy:
Age shall be completed 17 years on 31.12.2021.

5. For Diploma In Pharmacy:
Age shall be completed 17 years on 31.12.2021.

6. For ANM/ GNM:
The age of the candidate should be between 17 years and 35 years on 31st
December of the year in which admission is sought

7. For M.Sc. Nursing
The candidate of Open Category should complete 21 years and should not be more than 30 years of age by December of that academic year whereas for those candidates of sponsored category, the maximum age will be 50 years at the time admission

Educational Qualification:

1. For B.Sc. Nursing:
(i) Candidate with Science who have passed the qualifying 12th Standard examination (10+2) and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together and passed in English individually.
(ii) Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognised by the State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognised by Central Government having Science subjects and English only

2. i) Bachelor of Sc. in Radio Imaging Technology (B.Sc. RIT)
ii) Bachelor of Sc. in Optometry & Ophthalmic Techniques(B.Sc.OOT).
For RIPANS (Regional Institute of Paramedical and Nursing Sciences, Aizawl): 10+2(Sc.)/ equivalent exam passed from any recognised Board/ University/ Council with English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology individually with a minimum of 50% marks for General and 45% marks for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates.

3. For Bachelor of Sc. In Lab. Technology (B.Sc. MLT):
For RIPANS (Regional Institute of Paramedical and Nursing Sciences, Aizawl):10+2(Sc.)/ equivalent exam passed from any recognised Board/ University/ Council with English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology/ Maths individually with a minimum of 50% marks for General and 45% marks for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates

4. For Bachelor of Pharmacy:
(i) For RIPSAT, Agartala: 10+2(Sc.)/ equivalent exam passed from any recognised Board/ University/ Council with English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology/ Maths individually with a minimum of 50% marks for General and 45%
marks for SC /ST /OBC candidates
(ii)For other Institutes: 10+2(Sc.)/ equivalent exam passed from any recognised Board/ University/ Council with English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology individually with a minimum of 50% marks for General/OBC and 40% marks
for SC/ST candidates. Or Passed Diploma in pharmacy from any recognised Institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India with 50% marks

5. For Diploma In Pharmacy:
10+2(Sc.)/ equivalent exam passed from any recognised Board/University/ Council with Physics, Chemistry & Biology individually securing not less than 50% marks for General/ OBC and 40% marks for SC/ST candidates.

6. For ANM/ GNM:
The minimum educational qualification shall be 10+2 in Arts /Science (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science,
Sociology, Psychology, and Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Science or Health Care Science – vocational stream only passing out from an Institute recognized by Board/ Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent body /Council including National Institute of Open Schools.

7. For M.Sc. Nursing:
* Candidate should have a minimum qualification of B. Sc. Hons. Nursing / B. Sc. Nursing /Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing from an institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council with a minimum of 55 % aggregate marks for Gen./OBC and 50% for ST/SC.
* Roster Point of 200 will be adopted in allotment of seats as per reservation policy of Govt. of Manipur.
* Candidates should be Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Council.
* Candidates should have at least one year of experience in an approved Hospital or in a College or School of Nursing or a Community Health setting/ programme after B. Sc. Hons. Nursing / B. Sc. Nursing /Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing.
* Candidates should submit their experience certificate along with their application form.
* Candidates with Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing degree through distance education (IGNOU) may be considered only if the study centre is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
* Candidates should be medically fit and vaccinated for Hepatitis B.
* Candidate should be domicile of Manipur.
* The sponsoring authority shall be the Government of Manipur or any organization wholly or partially owned by the Government of Manipur.
* If sufficient number of candidates in the Sponsored category is not available the vacant seat will be converted to Open category

Mode of Selection:
The selection of the candidates for the available seats will be done based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying examination. If two or more candidates obtained equal marks in the qualifying examination their inter-se merit list shall be prepared in the following order:
* For M. Sc. (N) candidates: Preference shall be given to
i) Candidate who is senior in age.
* For B. Sc. (N), D. Pharm and B. Pharm (10+2 as Qualifying Exam) courses: Preference shall be given to
i) Candidate with higher marks in Biology in 10+2(Sc.) examination.
ii) Candidate with higher marks in Chemistry in 10+2(Sc.) examination.
iii) Candidate with higher marks in Physics in 10+2(Sc.) examination and
iv) Senior in age over the junior candidate.
* For ANM /GNM Courses: Preference shall be given to
i) Science candidates
ii) Senior in age over the junior candidate.
* The Selection of B. Pharm candidates with D. Pharm as the qualifying examination: Preference shall be
given to
i) Senior in age over the junior candidate.

COUNSELLING FEES:
Fee should be submitted at the time of Form submission by cash only.
1. B.Sc. Nursing & Paramedical Courses – Rs.500/- for all categories of candidates
2. ANM/GNM – Rs.300/- for GEN/OBC & Rs.200/- for ST/SC
3. M.Sc. Nursing Course – Rs.1100/- for all categories of candidates
