Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) CEE Notification 2019
Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) has announced notification for Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) for admission to the following courses. Details of the eligibility, examinations are given below:
Age: (as on the 31st Dec 2019)
Applicants should have completed 17 years of age
No relaxation in the minimum age will be allowed.
1. For Engineering:
[Including B.Tech (Agri. Engg.) and B.Tech (Food Engg. & Tech) courses under the Kerala Agricultural University, B.Tech (Dairy Technology) and B.Tech (Food Technology) courses under Kerala Veterinary & Animal Sciences University and B.Tech (Food Technology) course under Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies].
Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Mathematics separately, and 50 % marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together are eligible for admission. However candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 45% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together are eligible for admission under Management Quota in Private Self Financing Engineering Colleges/ Government Controlled Self Financing Engineering Colleges
2. For Architecture:
(a) Minimum academic eligibility for admission to B. Arch.:
10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised Board with Mathematics as a subject of study by securing 50% marks in aggregate. OR 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognised by Central/State Governments with 50% aggregate marks with Mathematics as one of the subject of examination. OR International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination.
(b) In addition to the academic eligibility prescribed under clause 6.2.3 (a), only those candidates who score the minimum eligibility marks as per the Information Brochure of National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) 2019 will be considered for admission to B. Arch. course. There is no relaxation in the minimum passing score of NATA to any category
of candidate as per letter No. CA/5/ Academic-NATA dated 11.03.2008. The candidates are advised to qualify in NATA on or before 10.06. 2019.
(c) There is no provision for lateral admission to the second year or at any stage during the 5 year course in Architecture.
3. For B.Pharm:
Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Biology/ Mathematics separately and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Mathematics put together are eligible.
4. For MBBS, BDS:
Candidates who have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology in the Higher Secondary examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, or examinations recognised equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Biology/ Biotechnology separately, and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology put together, are eligible. In the absence of Biology, Biotechnology will be considered as a subject for academic eligibility.
(a) Engineering only/ B.Pharm only/ both: General Rs. 700, SC Rs. 300
(b) Architecture only/ Medical & Allied only/ both: General Rs. 500, SC Rs. 200
(c) Both (a) & (b): General Rs. 900, SC Rs. 400
ST candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
Mode of Payment:
Candidate can pay application fee in either of the two following methods:
(a) Online Payment: The fee may be paid by credit card/ debit card/ Internet Banking
(b) E-chalan: In case of payment through e-chalan, the payment can be made in one of the Head /Sub Post Offices in Kerala, in cash.
Papers/ Subjects in the Entrance Examinations:
Paper I - Physics & Chemistry
Paper II – Mathematics
Each Paper will be of two and a half hours duration.
Scheme of the Examination:
The Engineering Entrance Examination will be objective type with Multiple Choice Questions and based on single response. For each question, five suggested answers would be given, of which only one will be the MOST APPROPRIATE RESPONSE. The candidate will have to select and mark the alphabet (A, B, C, D or E) corresponding to the most appropriate response in the OMR Answer Sheet.
The standard of the Examination:
The standard of the Entrance Examination will be that of Higher Secondary or equivalent examinations. The syllabi for all the subjects for the Entrance Examination are given in the Prospectus.
The Engineering Entrance Examination will be conducted across the 14 District Centers in Kerala and in Mumbai, New Delhi and Dubai.
How to Apply:
Candidate need to apply online through official website or the link given below. Applicant should ensure the following before submission of online application and uploading supporting documents:
i. All the required certificates are properly filled in and signed by the competent authority and affixed office seal at specified place before uploading to the online application.
ii. The photograph and Signature image to be uploaded must be clear and conforming to the prescribed specifications.
iii. The applicant should select the course/ courses which he/she desires to study while applying online.
iv. The candidate should maintain confidentiality of the password created at the time of registration for submission of online application and keep it in safe custody till the end of allotment process.
Do not send the printout of the confirmation page or other documents to the office of the CEE.
