KEA Admission Notification for Common Entrance Test CET 2019 Apply Online

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) inviting applications from the eligible Karnataka Candidates including the ward/s of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants who is a citizen of India and who fulfils any one of the ‘eligibility conditions’ for conduct of “Common Entrance Test-2019”. Details of the examination are given below:

Name of the Course:
1. Engineering/ Technology
2. B.Pharma
3. 2 year B.Pharma
4. Pharma-D
5. Agriculture courses (Farm Science) and
6. Veterinary courses

Eligibility:
1. For Engineering/ Technology:
Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std / Equivalent Exam with English as one of the Languages and obtained a Minimum of 45% of Marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio- Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer. (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)
2. For B.Pharma:
Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and obtained a Minimum of 45% of Marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects. (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates) OR
Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act and has secured minimum of 45% marks. (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)
3. For 2 year B.Pharma:
Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act and has secured minimum of 45% marks. (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)
4. For Pharma-D:
Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. OR
Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.
5. For Agriculture courses:
Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std / Equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology as optional subjects.
6. For Veterinary courses:
Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std. and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects. (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)

Determination of Merit:
1. For Engineering / Technology:
On the basis of marks obtained by candidates in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects in Common Entrance Test– 2019 and the marks obtained by candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects
2. For B.Pharma:
On the basis of performance of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects i.e., PCB or PCM marks whichever is highest in Common Entrance Test 2019. Common rank list will be prepared and published separately for admission to B-Pharm.
3. For 2 year B.Pharma:
On the basis of performance of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects i.e., PCB or PCM marks whichever is highest in the Common Entrance Test 2019. Common rank list will be prepared and published separately for admission to 2nd Year B-Pharm (Lateral Entry)
4. For Pharma-D:
On the basis of performance of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects i.e., PCB or PCM marks whichever is highest in the Common Entrance Test 2019. Common rank list will be prepared and published separately for admission to Pharm-D.
5. For Agriculture courses:
Based on the performance of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology subjects in both Common Entrance Test and the Qualifying Examination by taking the marks in equal proportions, common rank list will be prepared and published separately for admission to these courses.

Exam Pattern:
1. Mode of Exam: The exam is held in offline mode (pen & paper based).
2. Types of Question: Question paper are of Multiple Choice in nature.
3. Number of Questions: Total 60 question are asked from each section.
4. Time Duration: Each section is given 80 minutes.
5. Marking Scheme: One mark is awarded for each correct answer.
6. Negative Marking: There is no provision for negative marking. No marks are deducted/awarded for marking multiple options.

Application Fee:
Rs. 650 for General & OBC category
Rs. 500 for SC/ST category

Mode of payment:
In the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, payable at Bangalore.

How to Apply:
Candidates have to apply online for CET-2019 through official website or the link given below. Candidate must ensure that mobile numbers, e-mail address entered in the online application form are his/her own as in case of urgency KEA may send information / communications by SMS or mail on given mobile number and mailing ID only. Candidates must retain the following documents with them as reference for future correspondence.
(i) At least three printouts of the finally submitted online Application.
(ii) Proof of fee paid
(iii) 2-3 copies of identical Photograph that scanned and uploaded on the Online Application.
