Qualifications (as on the date of Walk-InInterview):
For post 1)Research Associate:
Ph.D. in Applied Geology / Hydrology / Water Resources / Remote Sensing / Physics / Earth Sciences or equivalent

For post 2)Project Assistant Level – II:
Masters in Applied Geology / Geophysics / Hydrology / Water Resources Engg. with not less than 55% of marks

For post 3)Project Assistant Level – II:
Masters in Geophysics / Applied Geophysics /Marine Geophysics / Earth Science with not less than 55% of marks

For post 4)Project Assistant Level – II:
Masters in Physics with not less than 55% of marks

For post 5) Project Assistant Level – II:
Masters in Geology / Applied Geology with not less than 55% of marks

For post 6) Project Assistant Level – II:
Masters in Geology / Applied Geology with not less than 55% of marks

For post 7)Project Assistant Level – III:
B.E. / B. Tech (CSE / IT) with not less than 55% of marks and Two years post qualification experience

Desirable:
For post 1)Research Associate:
Worked in the area related to hydrology / water resources / estimation of major water fluxes / groundwater modelling / impact climate on water resources

For post 2)Project Assistant Level – II:
Dissertation / Master Thesis on hydrology / water resources / groundwater modelling

For post 3)Project Assistant Level – II:
for a)Project No.:GAP-822-28: knowledge of C / C++ / Fortran Programming.

For post 4)Project Assistant Level – II:
Exposure to solid state / Spectroscopic experiment

For post 5) Project Assistant Level – II:
Knowledge in Geochronology, Petrology

For post 6) Project Assistant Level – II:
one year experience in Hydrogeological field surveys and lab analysis

For post 7)Project Assistant Level – III:
Experience in software development using JAVA

Job requirement:
For post 1)Research Associate: Hydrogeological data collection, analysis & interpretation. Development of coupled based model for estimating major water fluxes in the climatic conditions

For post 2)Project Assistant Level – II:
Knowledge of RS&GIS / Matla, hydrology and water resources

For post 3)Project Assistant Level – II:
for a)Project No.:GAP-822-28: Processing / Modelling / Inversion of Seismic Data
for b)Project No.:GAP-818-28: Geophysical (Ground based electrical & EM, airborne EM & Magnetic) Surveys, processing and interpretation, Hydrogeological Studies, Report writing etc.,

For post 5) Project Assistant Level – II:
Zircon U-Pb Age measurements, Petrological and Geochemical studies

For post 6) Project Assistant Level – II:
To carry out Geohydrological field surveys and water quality analysis in laboratory

For post 7)Project Assistant Level – III:
Software Application Development, Website Maintenance

Stipend (in Rs.) (Per Month):
Rs.36,000/- (for post 1)
Rs.25,000/- (for post 2,3,4,5 & 6)
Rs.28,000/- (for post 7)

How to apply:
Candidates needs to attend walk in Interview along with originals and one set of photocopies of Certificates of educational qualification, age, caste (in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates), experience (if any), one recent passport size photo etc.

Reporting Time: 08.30 AM
*No candidate will be allowed to enter into the venue after 09:15 AM.

NOTE:
-The candidates whose final year / semester results are awaited as on the date of walk in interview are not eligible.
-If the number of candidates turning up for walk in Interview is very high, then the Candidates will be shortlisted to appear in interview by holding written test or any
such methodology deemed fit by the competent authority, CSIR-NGRI. The candidates are advised to plan their itinerary and arrange own accommodation in such a way that they should be able to be present for interview during the very next day of the scheduled date of interview also, in case need arises for so.
-The number and levels of positions may increase or decrease at the time of actual selection or may be cancelled also.
-The engagement is for various time-bound projects viz., Grant-in-Aid/ Sponsored Projects / In-house projects etc. which is co-terminus with the projects and may be extended or curtailed depending on the duration of the Project, satisfactory performance/conduct of the appointee.
– It is not a regular appointment, temporary or otherwise and therefore it does not entitle the incumbent(s) any claim, implicit or explicit on any CSIR/NGRI post.
-No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Walk-in-interview.
