CSIR-IHBT Walk-in Interview Jan 2019 for JRF and PA Posts

CSIR Institude of Himalayan Bioresource Technology, (IHBT) has invited application from eligible candidates for the recruitment for JRF and PA Posts purely on temporary basis for the duration of the projects. Details of the recruitment are give below:

A. Title of the Post:
“Indo-Sri Lanka Joint Project entitled – High throughput genotyping to expedite the genetic characterization and dissection of important agronomic traits of tea.” (GAP-0224).

Educational Qualification(s) Essential / Desirable:
Master Degree in Biotechnology/ any branch of Biological Sciences with 55% marks and CSIR/ UGC-NET-LS qualified.
Desirable:
Candidate having experience in molecular markers/ NGS/ high-throughput genotyping will be preferred.

Rs. 25,000/- p.m. + HRA

B. Title of the Post:
“Preparation of spectral library of forest tree species of Himalayan Region.” (GAP-0201)

Educational Qualification(s) Essential / Desirable:
Master Degree in Botany/ Forestry/ Environmental Sciences/ Ecology/ Remote Sensing/ GIS/ Geoinformatics/ Geography/ Earth Science/ Geology with minimum 55% marks and CSIR/ UGC NET (LS) qualified. OR M.Tech. in Remote Sensing/ GIS/ Geoinformatics/ Earth Science/ Geology/ Environmental Sciences or equivalent 55% marks.
Desirable:
Candidates having experience in RS/ GIS will be preferred.

C. Title of the Post:
“Identification, expression analysis and comparative study of TIR-NBS-IRR gene analogs from potato against early blight disease caused by alternaria solani.” (GAP-0205).

Age Relaxation:
5 years for SC / ST / Women, 3 years for aBC and widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not remarried are allowed age concession upto the age of 35 years, (upto 40 years for members of SC / STs).
