AIIMS Raipur Admission to Para-medical and Certificate Courses July Session 2019

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Raipur invites online applications for Entrance Examination for admission in Para-medical and Certificate Courses – July 2019 Session of AIIMS Raipur. Details of the admission notification are as follows:

Courses Offered and No. of Seats:
1. B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology: 8 nos (UR-4, ST-2, SC-1, OBC-1)
2. B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology: 5 nos (UR-3, SC-1, OBC-1)
3. Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP): 4 nos (UR-2, SC-1, OBC-1)
4. B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology: 8 nos (UR-4, ST-2, SC-1, OBC-1)
5. Advanced Diploma in Radiotherapy Technology (ADRT): 2 nos (UR-1, OBC-1)
6. Pre-Hospital Trauma Technician (PTT) (Certificate course): 10 nos (UR-4, ST-1, SC-2, OBC-2, EWS-1)

Age Limit:
Should have attained age of 17 years and maximum 25 years as on 30.06.2019
Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates as per Government norms

Essential Qualification:
1 & 2. For B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology:
Should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum 50% (General and OBC category) or 45% (SC / ST Categories) aggregate marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology

3. For Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP):
Should have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and any one of Biology/ Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Statistics/ Electronics/ Psychology subject with minimum 50% marks (General and OBC) or 45% marks (SC/ST)

4. For B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology:
Should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with English, Physics, Chemistry and either Biology or Mathematics with minimum 50% (General and OBC category) or 45% (SC / ST Categories) aggregate marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and either Biology or Mathematics

5. For Advanced Diploma in Radiotherapy Technology (ADRT):
Should have passed B.Sc. in any stream. Candidates who are due to appear at the qualifying examination, or have already appeared and are awaiting result can also apply for admission. But such candidates must furnish proof of passing the qualifying examination (B.Sc. with the following subjects – Physics, Chemistry and either Biology or Mathematics) with requisite percentage of marks (50% in aggregate for General and OBC or 45% in aggregate in case of SC / ST Categories) at the time of counselling failing which their candidature will be cancelled

6. For Pre-Hospital Trauma Technician (PTT) (Certificate course):
Having Passed 10+2 with Biology Subject.

Selection Procedure:
(A) For B.Sc. B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology, B.Sc. in Medical Technology in Radiography, B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology, Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP):
Selection to these courses will be on the basis of marks scored in written examination only.

(B) For Advanced Diploma in Radiotherapy Technology (ADRT):
Selection process will consist of two stages as given below:
Stage I: Written test (MCQs).
Stage II. Interview by subject expert.

Selection of Candidate for Stage-II
(i) Short listing of candidates for Stage-II:
a. A merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in written test (Stage –I). To qualify for interview (Stage-II), a candidate must obtain at least 50 marks in written test (Stage-I). The number of candidates eligible to appear in the interview will be FIVE (05) times the number of seats to filled, provided the candidates score more than cut off marks mentioned above. The candidates will be invited for the interview strictly in order of merit based on the marks obtained by the candidates in written test.
b. The interview conducted by the respective department will have a weightage of 20 marks.
(ii) Final Result:
Final result will be declared based on total marks obtained in Stage-I and Stage-II Examination.

(C) For Pre-Hospital Trauma Technician (PTT):
Selection will be made only on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2 (higher secondary).

Scheme of Examination:
The Entrance Examination will consist of 100 Objective Type (Multiple Choice and Reason-Assertion type) questions from Physics,  Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics and General Knowledge/ Aptitude.
(a) B.Sc. in Medical Technology in Radiography/ Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP)
1. Physics: 30 No. of Questions
2. Chemistry: 30 No. of Questions
3. Biology (Botany & Zoology) OR Mathematics: 30 No. of Questions
4. General Knowledge: 05 No. of Questions
5. Aptitude & Logical Thinking: 05 No. of Questions
Maximum marks- 100 marks. (Each question carries 1 mark)
Negative marking- 0.25 for every incorrect answer
Questions will be broadly based on standard syllabus of 10+2 (Higher Secondary) level.

Note: The examination for above courses will be online/ Computer Based.

(b) B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology & B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology:
Physics: 30 No. of Questions
Chemistry: 30 No. of Questions

Note: The examination for above courses will be online/Computer Based.

(c) Advanced Diploma in Radiotherapy Technology (ADRT):
Physics: 30 No. of Questions
Chemistry: 30 No. of Questions
Biology (Botany & Zoology) OR Mathematics: 30 No. of Questions
General Knowledge: 05 No. of Questions
Aptitude & Logical Thinking: 05 No. of Questions
Maximum marks- 100 marks. (Each question carries 1 mark)
Negative marking- 0.25 for every incorrect answer
Questions will be based on syllabus of B.Sc. level.

Note: The examination for above courses will be pen-paper based objective type

Fee for entire course:
Rs. 5856/- for Advanced Diploma in Radiotherapy Technology (ADRT)
Rs. 3165/- for Other Remaining Posts

Stipend:
1) Proposal for stipend as applicable in other Institutes of National Importance under Ministry of Health & Family Welfare is under consideration of competent authority in AIIMS Raipur.
2) Rs. 1500/- per month for Pre-Hospital Trauma Technician (PTT)
